Like any major surgery, there are a few complications that could arise. While they're not frequent, it's still important to remember that these complications should be noted. After any major surgery, blood clots and infection can happen, so it's important to make sure there are no signs of infection. These symptoms will include swelling and redness around the incision as well as discoloring in the hip area. Dislocation of the hip can also occur, so make sure to keep the leg and hip immobilized for the desired amount of time.
