For those seeking financial assistance, Wyoming’s Medicaid (EqualityCare) offers the Assisted Living Facility Waiver for elderly residents who qualify for nursing home level care but opt to reside in a state-approved assisted living home. This program is designed to cover costs associated with assisted living services as long as the costs do not exceed the price for the participant to reside in a nursing home. However, the waiver does not include costs for room and board.
